突然想起之前答过一个题目不相关但答案有联系的题目
还记得
那些“如同烟花落日般的黄色、粉红色、橙橘色及紫色等等”的蓝宝石以及
在每個可想像得到的色彩和濃淡色澤的光譜中，皆有剛玉家族成員出現。——
吗？
把这段话中的“刚玉家族”换成“钻石”也是完全成立的呀~

BUT 这题并不是问“钻石是不是只有白色的或者无色的”而是“钻石有哪些颜色”，所以这明明是一道算术题好吗？
一点也不严谨地尝试算一下好了。
解：分为无色-淡黄色钻石、彩色钻石及黑白灰钻石三种情况来讨论和计算钻石的颜色种类数目。
如果只要结论，可以只看加粗部分，或者干脆看图吧。
1.无色-淡黄色钻石
为计算简便，此处忽略奶咖绿，且包括K-Z级淡黄色（即在彩钻分级体系中应为Faint yellow-Light yellow的部分）钻石
故有，以GIA的4C钻石分级体系而言无色-淡黄色钻石的颜色可有D-Z级，即23种。

2.彩色钻石
颜色三要素为色调（Hue）、饱和度（Saturation）和亮度（Tone）
又，GIA GTL将天然颜色成因的彩色钻石分为27个色调，将亮度和饱和度这两个颜色维度组成的颜色平面划分为9个区域，且至少有4种附加修饰词
故有，彩色钻石的颜色为27*9*4=972种。
提到的27种色调、9个区域、4种以及某些未考虑的因素在这里（自己论文里摘出来的，有偏颇之处还望指出）
图1 美国珠宝学院珠宝贸易实验室彩色钻石颜色分级系统的色调分布27个色调包括单一色调红、橙、黄、绿、蓝、紫、紫红7种和其余20种带修饰色调（Modifying color）的色调，如偏红橙等。色调的中英文名称对照如表3-1。需要注意的是，GIA的颜色命名规则是将主要颜色放在最后，因此绿黄（Green Yellow）和黄绿（Yellow Green）指的是两种不同的色调。这是由于在钻石贸易中，钻石最终的色调名称具有重要的商业意义，一颗绿黄钻石被认为是一颗带绿色的“黄色”钻石，采用黄钻的交易规则；而一颗黄绿钻石被认为是带有黄色的“绿色”钻石，采用绿钻的交易规则。

此外，GIA GTL彩色钻石颜色分级系统的27种色调还有两种变化：
i. 在低饱和度水平下，无论在低或高明度能够识别出的色调都少于27种，此时可以将几种无法分辨出的色调统一命名。如色调环中从偏红紫红到橙色调区域在低饱和度、一定水平亮度时无法分辨，被定义为粉色（Pink）（King等，2006）。需要注意的是，虽然粉色并非色调环中的色调名称，但同样也是指一个范围内的颜色知觉。对于偏紫红红、红、偏橙红三种色调，低饱和度低明度的情况下可被分别命名为“偏紫红粉”、“粉”、“偏橙粉”。
ii. 随着饱和度进一步降低，以上三种色调被合并称为“偏棕粉”直至“棕粉”。
GIA GTL将亮度和饱和度这两个颜色维度组成的颜色平面划分为9个区域，每一亮度和饱和度区域指定一个颜色等级名称，如图2所示。

这9个颜色等级名称的中英文对照如表2。未能达到Fancy级别的黄钻都采用D-Z分级系统。

此外，钻石颜色还有，4种基本修饰词Brown，Brownish，Gray，Grayish。
3.黑白灰色钻石
首先，钻石有黑色的，而且“黑得漂亮”，另参见 同学的图片；
然后，钻石也有白色的，是“白色”而不是“无色”哦；
最后，钻石也有灰色的，而且也不难看。
以及这颗真的很漂亮。

GIA把黑白灰也分在彩钻体系里，并且也有Fancy white/black/grey的分级出现，但似乎并没有彩钻颜色分级中更为细化的描述，如Fancy light white或者Fancy vivid black
因此，这里就按照达到fancy级别和未达到fancy级别分为两类
故，黑白灰钻石颜色共3*2=6种。
综上所述，理论上钻石颜色共：23+972+6=1001种。
好了↑↑↑算是在开玩笑。当真了的概不负责哈。
诸多因素未考虑。
其实颜色本来也是人为分类的种类嘛。
不过不管按哪一种人为分类标准，钻石的颜色都非常多就是啦。

钻石是“宝石之王”的话那彩钻就是“王中之王”好吗，彩钻的传奇和故事也是异彩纷呈，不过跟本题无关，也不赘述。

红钻
