2nd visittoPanmunjeomAgainfromSouth Korea
Panmunjom, North Korea.
Same ancestor,same language, same culture
divided by thelow concrete line that became two extreme now.
It may soundsridiculous, but when I was there, I honestly thought about:
How much power does the government has to control/brainwashcitizens that makes them so different?
One step to another world.(half N.Korea, half S.Korea.)
"I wasliterally in South Korea in thisphoto."
When I tookthis shot, the tour guide-Miss Wen, asked me (with very strangetone): "I found you only taking pictures of people!"
I was shocked but answered her immediately: "I take photos of thatconcrete line!"
A littlescary.
He is 0.5m toSouth Korea.
Kim Il Sung'ssignature, written the day before he died (1994.7.7)... Arevolutionary monument in the center of Kaesong, 8km north of theborder, 70km to Seoul.
I could feelthe tension as we were getting closer tothe DMZ.
More checkpoints on the highway, more rules, more soldiers, likethe tour guide said: we are preparing for the waranytime.
I saw a signin Korean on the highway : Seoul 70km.
