insist、persist

这两个动词都含“坚持”的意思。insist指坚持意见、看法、主张，表示主观愿望。
常用动词短语是：insiston 。 persist指固执己见，不听从别人的建议或忠告仍
一意孤行，坚持自己的做法，含有贬义。常用动词短语是：persistin。
1) He insisted that the patient indanger should be sent to the hospital
withoutdelay.
他坚持将病危病人立即送到医院。
2）WhenI insist on a course of action I will hold firmlyto it and will not
allowanything to get in myway.
当我坚持某一行动时，我会坚定不移地做,不允许任何事情挡我的道。
3）I'm afraid we haveto call the whole deal off if you still insiston

●persist 也可表示褒义，含“坚持不懈”的意思，相当于persevere，不过没有
persevere正式。

2）I willpersist to the end, even if I am the only oneleft.
即使只剩下我一个人，也我要坚持到底。
