1989年出生的特鲁姆普少年成名，是最年轻的庞汀斯冠军获得者，在14岁零208天的时候在正式比赛中打出满分147，取代奥沙利文成为最年轻的满分创造者，并且是4个在17岁就打进世锦赛正赛的球员之一(其余3人为奥沙利文、亨德利和刘闯)。自那以后，特鲁姆普便被视为斯诺克未来之星，甚至有媒体称他为未来奥沙利文第二。特鲁姆普以精准的远台进攻闻名，在技术、经验和心理素质上都有高出同龄选手一筹的实力，是英国斯诺克球坛上有名的神童。

二 2007年，未满18岁的特鲁姆普杀进世锦赛决赛阶段，成为继亨德利和奥沙利文后进军克鲁斯堡第三年轻的选手。
三 2008年，19岁的特鲁姆普继06年丁俊晖杀进英锦标赛4强后闯入排名赛4强最年轻的选手。
除了天赋过人外，特鲁姆普还是有名的帅哥，长相清秀可爱，拥有广泛的人气和大量的粉丝，新一代的球台新偶像。今年10月份来上海参加大师赛时，特鲁姆普就受到无数球迷的追捧。
特鲁姆普此前曾表示：“奥沙利文、亨德利、戴维斯三位球王都是我崇拜的对象，在年轻一代的选手里我很喜欢丁俊晖。”这是英格兰帅哥的心声，也许还是他的目标。

Judd Trump (born 21 August 1989) is an English professional snooker player from Whitchurch, Bristol who enjoyed considerable success inyouth tournaments before turning professional in 2005. His best runto date took him to the semi finals of the 2008 Grand Prix.
Amateur days
Trump was English Under-13 and Under-15 champion, and reachedthe World Under-21 Championship semi-finals at 16. On 13 March2004, as a 14-year-old, Trump achieved a maximum break during an Under-16 tournament atCoalville, Leicester against Jin YoungFoulger. This feat meant he became the youngest player in historyto compile a 147 maximum break in an official tournament (a recordformerly held by Ronnie O'Sullivan for thirteen years).
Professional career
In the 2005/2006 season he joined the professional tour, and atthe Welsh Open became the youngest player ever toqualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament. He reachedthe same last-48 stage for the China Open, losing 4-5 to Michael Holt, although this was designated the finalqualifying round and was actually played in Prestatyn, Wales.
Trump became the youngest player for fourteen years to reach theWorld Championship, at the 2007 event, by beating James Wattana 10-5 in the final qualifyinground, and (with champions Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan) is oneof only four 17-year-olds to feature at Sheffield's CrucibleTheatre. Trump played the 2005 champion and 6th seed, Shaun Murphy, in the first round, losing 6-10 despitehaving lead 6-5 earlier.
Trump did not build on this form in the 2007/2008 season, onlyreaching the last 32 of the Welsh Open by beating JoeSwail. He missed out on the World Championship after a 9-10 loss to Swail,having lead 9-7.
Things changed for the 2008/2009 season when Trump reached the venue stages ofthe first four events.[1] At theGrand Prix he benefitted from Graeme Dott's withdrawal before defeatingJoe Perry 5-2 in the last 16, despite admitting to notplaying well and Perry feeling that he had outplayedTrump.[2] Then camethe biggest win of his career so far, defeating Ronnie O'Sullivan5-4 to reach the Semi Final, in which he was defeated 6-4 byJohn Higgins. He beat double world championMark Williams in qualifying for the 2008 Bahrain Championship.
