A tree frog shows off its broad and effective grip whileclinging to a tree trunk in the Pacific Islands. Frogs—particularlytropical species—are vanishing at alarming rates, in part due todisease epidemics attributed to climate change. Amphibian skin isincredibly thin, making frogs acutely susceptible to changes intemperature, humidity, or water quality.
