爱华网《美国新闻与世界报道》27日公布了全美最好高中名单，排在第一名的是新泽西Lincroft市的高科技高中（HighTechnology High School），纽约市公立高中里最好排名的是泰登岛科技高中，位列第13，有大量华裔学生的纽约史岱文森高中名列第18名，布碌仑科技高中排在第50名。
美国拥有近30万公立高中，27日《美国新闻与世界报道》公布的是全美前200所高中名单，其依据的是美国各所高中的数学与科学（Math and Science）成绩而列出。该杂志负责人莫尔斯（Morse）表示，这200所最好高中是从被该杂志列为金、银和荣誉奖的全美600所顶尖高中而出炉，其评比数据来源于2008年的班级，特别参考了这些学校学生们的数学与科学的AP（Advance Placement）成绩。
在纽约5区的公立高中里，史泰登岛科技高中（Staten Island TechnicalHigh School）得分最高而位列全美200所最好科技高中的第13名，位于曼哈顿的备受亚裔追捧的史岱文森高中（stuyvesant high school）排名第18，布鲁克林科技高中（Brooklyn Technical High School ）排在第50位，布朗士科学高中（Bronx High School of Science）排名第51位。
