PETCOKE在散货中一般视为DirtyCargo,是大多数船东不太愿意做的货种,即便做,也会有相应的保护条款(PROTECTIVECLAUSE)去保护船东的利益。
下面是IMSBCCode(国际海运固体散货运输规则)中对于PETCOKE的描述以及操作此种货物的相关注意事项和预防措施。

DESCRIPTION-说明
Black, finelydivided residue from petroleum refining in the form of powder andsmall pieces. The provisions of this schedule should not apply tomaterials having a temperature below 55°C when loaded.
炼油产生的黑色细碎残渣,呈粉末状和碎块状。本细目的规定不适用于装载时温度低于55℃ 的货物。

HAZARD-危害
Uncalcinedpetroleum coke is liable to heat and ignite spontaneously when notloaded and transported under the provisions of thisentry.
This cargo isnon-combustible or has a low fire-risk.
未经煅烧的石油焦炭如不按本条目的规定装载和运输,则易于自热和自燃。

STOWAGE& SEGREGATION - 积载和隔离
“Separated from” foodstuffs.-与食品“隔离”。
“Separated longitudinally by an interveningcomplete compartment or hold from” all goods of class 1, Divisions1.1 and 1.5. 与第1 .1.1类、第1.1.5分类的所有货物“用介于中间的整个舱室或船舱纵向隔离”。
“Separated by a complete compartment or holdfrom” all other hazardous materials and

HOLDCLEANLINESS-货舱清洁度。
Clean and dryas relevant to the hazards of the cargo.按货物的危险性保持清洁和干燥状态。

LOADING-装载
1. When thecargo is loaded in a cargo space over a tank containing fuel orother material having a flashpoint under 93°C, the cargo havingtemperature of 55°C or higher shall not be loaded in the cargospace, unless part of the cargo having temperature 44°C or lower isloaded in a layer of at least 0.6 m thickness throughout the cargospace prior to loading the cargo having temperature of 55°C orhigher.
1.在装有燃油或其它闪点低于93℃的物质的液货舱之上货物处所装货时,不得将温度为55℃或更高的货物装入该处所,除非在装载温度为55℃或更高的货物前,先向整个货物处所装入一层厚至少0.6m且温度为44℃或更低的货物
2.When thecargo having temperature of 55°C or higher is loaded in accordancewith the
aboverequirement and the thickness of the layer of the cargo to beloaded is bigger
than 1.0 m, thecargo shall first be loaded within a layer, the thickness of whichis
between 0.6 mand 1.0 m.
2.按照上述要求装载温度为55℃或更高的的货物而且所装载的货物厚度大于1.0m时,该货物应先按0.6米至1.0 米的厚度装载。
3.After the completion of loadingoperation specified in the above paragraphs, the loading operationmay proceed.
3.以上规定的装载作业结束后,装载作业才可以继续进行。
应该按照本规则第4节的要求对货物进行平舱。
PRECAUTIONS-预防措施
该货物在其温度超过107℃时则不得装载。船长须在货物处所附近张贴货物高温警告。
