How touse Dermatix® Silicone Sheets
Regular use ofDermatix® Silicone Sheet Clear or Dermatix® Silicone Sheet Fabriccan minimise existing hypertrophic scars and keloids or Dermatix®Silicone Sheet may be used to aid in the prevention of hypertrophicscars and keloids.
Step1:
Clean the area to be treated with mild soap andwater. Pat dry.Step2:
Remove the protective layer and save it. PlaceDermatix® Silicone Sheet with the "sticky side" down, directly onthe scarred area. The Silicone Sheet should extend slightly beyondthe area of the scar.
Step3:
Keep in place for at least 12 hours and up to 23hours.Step4:
At least once a day, wash the scarred area andboth sides of the Dermatix® Silicone Sheet with mild soap andwater. Rinse thoroughly and allow the Dermatix® Silicone Sheet todry before re-applying.1Application 2X a day in the morning and evening (1x a day underocclusive bandage) for at least 2 months.
Between uses,store Dermatix® Silicone Sheet using the protectivelayer.
Therecommended minimum duration of treatment is two months. Continueto use Dermatix® for as long as benefits areexperienced.
How touse Dermatix® Silicone Gel
Dermatix® gelis very simple to apply and should be used at least twice aday:
Step1:
Clean the area to be treated with mild soap andwater, pat dry.
Step2:
Cut the tip of the tube. Apply a very thin coat ofDermatix® Gel on the scar immediately after the wound has healedand rub it in.Step3:
Allow to dry for 4 – 5 minutes. If the gel has not dried, removethe excess product.1Application a day for 12 to 23 hours for at least 2months.
You can applymake-up over the Dermatix® to cover scar.
Therecommended minimum duration of treatment is two months. Continueto use Dermatix® for as long as benefits areexperienced.
