英语中表示 “满意的”常用三个词：satisfied、satisfactory、satisfying.不要以为很简单哦，一不小心，你也许就会用错。
satisfied只用于作表语，常用结构是 be satisfiedwith，表示“对……满意”，主语通常是人。satisfactory和satisfying可用作表语或定语，意
思是“令人满意的”。比较一下下面三个句子，你就明白它们的用法了。
1)Iam quitesatisfiedwiththeresult.
我对这个结果很满意。
2) This is asatifactory /satisfyingresult.
这是一个令人满意的结果。
3) The result is asatifactory /satisfying.
这个结果令人满意。
再看几个例子。
1) Sofar as I know, he is quitesatisfiedwithhis present job as itoffers
much scope for displaying histalent.
据我所知,他对目前的工作相当满意，因为它提供了许多显示他的才能的机会。
2) The manager saysthat the report you submittted to him isverysatisfactory
/satisfying.
经理说，你提交给他的报告非常令人满意。
3) We have to cometo inquire about the matter several times. We wish youwill
give us a satisfactory /satisfyingreply today.

content作形容词也可表示“满意的”、“满足的”，只用作表语。常用结构
是：
content with (可与 satisfied with换用)
content to do sth. （content可接动词不定式，satisfied 则不
可。）
1) Weshould never becontent / satisfiedwithwhat we haveachieved.
我们不应该满足我们取得的成果。
2) It was apparent that he wasperfectlycontent tolivein a hut and paint
pictures aloneallday.
显然,他非常乐意住在小茅屋里整天作画。
content作动词是“使满足”的意思，常用结构是：contentoneself with
……。
1) One shouldnevercontent himselfwithbook knowledge.
一个人不应该满足从书本得到的知识。
2)You have a good job and a happy family. Youshouldcontent yourself
withwhat you have.
你有份好工作,有一个幸福的家庭。你应该满足你所拥有的一切。
3)Will itcontentyou if Ilet you have another chance to try?
如果我让你有另一个尝试的机会，它会使你满意吗?
动词satisfy、meet、fulfil也可表示“使满足”的意思。
satisfy指完全符合或满足某种要求、规定、欲望、需求等。
1)Do yousatisfythe entryrequirements for the college?
你符合该大学的入学要求吗?
2) We should make every meanstosatisfythe needs ofthe older population.
我们必须做一切努力满足老年人口的需要。
3) Something should be donetosatisfythe children’scuriosity.
应该做事情来满足孩子们的好奇心。
meet普通用词，指能达到预期的目标、要求、规定等。
1) Our quality policy is:tomeetthe needs ofcustomers is our eternal
pursuit.
我们的质量方针是：满足客户的需求是我们永恒的追求。
2) They refused to negotiate unless threepreliminary conditions were tobemet.
他们拒绝谈判，除非三个初步条件得到满足。
fulfil指高水平达到规定的要求、标准。
1) We will do our utmosttofulfilall therequirements they set on the new
product.
我们将竭尽全力满足他们在新产品上提出所有的要求。
2) He is the only child in the family, so theparents are trying their best
tofulfilhisneeds.
他是家里的独生子，所以父母想方设法满足他的需要。
