爱华网在备战托福的这几个月里，Alex抽空听读了世界名著《简爱》，考试结束后，补记了此篇读后感。写下此文之前，主动到百度上查询深入了解了作者的背景资料，这是一个好习惯哦，继续保持！
不知道是不是托福写作强化训练的结果，现在写文章字数明显比以前多了不少，而且写作速度也有提高，虽然还有一些小的语法错误，但是比刚开始写作时明显进步了。
520托福考完后又听读了一本法国科幻作家凡尔纳写的《环游世界八十天》，很喜欢最后的结局，但是明显感觉阅读难度比《简爱》小多了。这几天正在听读《吹小号的天鹅》，一部经典的儿童文学著作。
暑假就快到啦，这是每年大量课外阅读的黄金时期。记得去年暑假Alex一直奋战在《哈利波特》系列之中，英文水平明显提高了一截，今年暑假也要好好利用，争取再上一个台阶，希望能够基本接近或达到美国12岁同龄孩子的阅读水平！

Theauthor,CharlotteBronte,wasoneofthethreesisterswhowereveryfamousnovelistsinthe19thcentury.JaneEyre'splotswerebasedontheoriginallifeofCharlotteherself,thereforecreatingarealisticstory.Thethreesisters'familywaspoor,andtheirmotherpassedawaybylungcancerwhenherchildrenwerestillveryyoung,andtheirfatherhadtotakethejobofraisingthewholefamily.Thethreesisterswerereinforced(forced orenforced)tobeeducatedinacharityschool.Duetotheunbearablestateoftheschool,CharlotteandEmily'stwosistersdied,thusgivingagriefpaintothesisters.Tosurvive,threesisterswentouttotakepartintutorsonebyone,howevernoneofthemlikethejob,especiallyCharlotte.Still,theexperiencehasgivenherthebasicsofplanningthestoryofJaneEyre.Finally,shegainedpeople'sattentionbypublishingJaneEyre.Itwasamiracle.Sheachievedthepublic'sattentionsoonthebookwaspressed,andsheamazinglyonlytookoneyeartofinishit.
ThebookusedthefirstpersonmethodofwritingtodepictJaneEyre.ThestorystartedwithadirectstoryaboutJanebeingbulliedbyhisolderbrother,John.TheauthorprobablywantedtogivethereadersadeepimpressionaboutthemishapssufferedbyJaneinheryouth.Then,Mr.Brocklehurstappeared,andtookJanetoLowoodSchool.Shegrewupinthatschool,butsheneverlikedtheschoolofit'srigidlifestyleandahardenvironment.Evidently,themailsheshesentouttolookforajobhasananswer.Shewasbeingaskedtobeatutorinafamily.Thisledtoaturningpointinherlife.
Shemetmanypeopleinthefamily.LikeMrs.Fairfax,Adele,thecrazywoman,andmostimportantofall,Mr.Rochester.Mr.Rochester'swordsandistemperishardtoguess,andheoftentravelsaroundtheworld.But,whenMr.RochesterwentbackandmetJaneEyre,hedidnotleaveagainforamonth.Afteraperiodoftime,Mr.RochesterandJaneEyrebegantofallinlovewitheachother,andtheymarried.However,inthemarriage,astrangerbroketheprogressionandassertedthatMr.Rochesteralreadyhadawifeandtheywerenotdivorced.Accordingtothelawsatthattime,peoplearenotallowedtoremarryiftheydidnotbreakapartwithhisex-wife.Indeed,theex-wifeofMr.Rochesterwasthecrazywoman.Infact,therealthingbehinditwasthatMr.Rochesterwasmarriedmanyyearsago,buthesoonfoundoutthathiswifewasamaniac.Hefeltcompletelydistressed,andJaneEyrewashishope.Janefeltaghast,andsheleftMr.Rochesteralone.Shewentouttootherplaces,andranoutoffoodandwater.Shewaspickedupbypeople,anddestinybroughttheJane'sbrothersandsisterstogether!Finally,sherecalledheroncedearestperson,butitwasalreadytoolate.WhathappenedwasthatrightafterthedepartureofJane,thecrazywomanburneddownthewholecitadelandshejumpedofffromtheroof.Mr.Rochestersurvivedinthedisaster,buthisbodywasburntfromheadtofoot.Thoughitwastrulyverysad,abookcanalwaysachieveitshappyending.JanefoundMr.Rochesteratlast,andtheyshallneverbeapartanymore.
