【辨析】persuade,advise与suggest都有“劝说、建议”之意。区别如下：
1) persuade作“劝解”讲， 强调“劝说成功”之意。常用于下列句型：persuadesb. to do sth./ persuade sb. into doing sth.。如：
Products also need to have a short lifespan sothat the public can be persuaded to replace them within a shorttime（. 2008重庆卷阅读理解E篇）
注意：如果表示“劝说某人做某事”， 要用try to persuade sb. to dosth.或advise sb. to do sth.。如：
There is nothing more I can try to persuade youto stay, so I wish you good luck. (2007上海卷)
2) advise作“建议、劝告”解，至于是否“劝成”，则未必知道。其后跟名词或代词、动名词、不定式复合结构、that从句（从句谓语动词常用虚拟语气）。如：
An advertisement might say, “Nine out of tendoctors advised their patients to take Yucky Pills to curetoothache.”（ 2008全国II卷阅读理解C篇）

注意:suggest还可以表“暗示、说明”等意思，后接宾语从句时，从句中谓语动词不用虚拟语气。如：
