In the cartoon wecan see that a young man is carrying a house onhis back. The
house is so heavythat he is sweeping all over，gasping for airdesperately. On the
neck is tightlytied a thick rope, which is connected with the house loan.Obviously,
when the youngman bought the house, heborrowed a huge sum of money from the bank,
which will putheavy burden on him in his later life.
Thereare quite a great number of youngpeople who wish to have houses oftheir
own when they getmarried, but the house prices are increasing veryfast. They have
to borrow moneyfrom the bank so as to fulfil their dreams of owing their ownhouses.
Consequently, they will be burdened withthe heavy loan fortwenty or thirty years.
In order to payback the loan, they have to cut down their spending, which willlower
their livingstandard. Nowadays, thehousing-loan burdenhas becomeoneof the
serious socialproblems.
Itis generally thought that the price of housesis now far beyond most of theconsumers’ means. Fortunately, our government hasattached great importance to the
housing problemsand is doing itsutmost to bring housing businessback onto the
healthy and rationaltrack. I believe that expandingthe supply of low-rent and
economicallyaffordablehousing for the low-incomegroup is a good policy. As for
those who want tobuy houses, they shouldseriously evaluate their ownpurchasing
power and makerational decisions not toget loan fromthe bank blindly. Iam
confident thatwith greatefforts the house-burdenproblem can be reduced to the
lowestlevel.
